Issue Management

First-class Type, Status, and Priority fields for issues, with org-level definitions and colored badges.

Fields

Field Defaults Description
Type 12 defaults (Bug, Feature, Enhancement, Task, etc) Categorizes the issue
Status 6 defaults (Open, In Progress, Waiting, In Review, Closed, Won't Fix) Lifecycle state -- replaces close/reopen button
Priority 4 defaults (Critical, High, Medium, Low) Urgency level

Required Statuses

Open and Closed are required baseline statuses (is_required=true) and cannot be deleted. Custom statuses can be freely added and removed on top of these two.

UI Features

  • Colored badges in issue list view
  • Status dropdown in comment form (replaces close/reopen button)
  • Lock icon and "required" badge on required statuses
  • Filtering by type/status/priority

Org Settings

Definitions are managed at the org level and auto-seeded on first issue creation. Each definition has:

  • Name
  • Color (hex)
  • Description
  • Sort order
  • Active/default flags

API

Issue create/update accepts type_id, status_id, and priority_id parameters. The MCP server also supports these fields.
