Scans source files to detect platform, name, version, element_name, package_type, language, entry_point, description, and license_spdx. Supports Joomla, Dolibarr, Go, MCP/Node, and generic platforms. Includes --diff and --update modes for comparing against and pushing to the Gitea manifest API. Warns on missing core fields. Jonathan Miller	ca55e5d2d2	feat(core): add SourceResolver for backwards-compatible src/ → source/ migration ... Introduces SourceResolver utility class with source/ → src/ → htdocs/ fallback chain, replacing hardcoded src/ references across 28 files. This enables renaming root-level src/ to source/ in all repos while maintaining backwards compatibility during the transition. Jonathan Miller	1ecd9239ed	fix(version): preserve suffix on bump, simplify workflow version logic (#191) ... version_bump.php now captures the existing suffix (e.g. -dev) from manifest.xml and re-applies it after incrementing the base version. This lets workflows read the version as-is instead of stripping and re-applying suffixes based on branch names. Simplified update-server.yml and pre-release.yml by removing the strip→map→re-apply suffix dance. Removed DISPLAY_VERSION and SUFFIX output variables — VERSION now carries the full suffixed string. Jonathan Miller	b3d9ee8255	refactor(cli): migrate 64 legacy scripts to CliFramework (#235) ... Wrap all CLI tools in cli/, automation/, maintenance/, deploy/, and release/ in classes extending CliFramework. Replaces manual $argv parsing with configure()/addArgument(), moves logic into run(): int, and converts fwrite(STDERR,...) to $this->log(). Two CLIApp subclasses (generate_dolibarr_version_txt, generate_joomla_update_xml) converted to extend CliFramework directly. Every script now gets free --help, --verbose, --quiet, --dry-run, --json, --no-color, banners, coloured logging, and progress bars. Jonathan Miller	23e777d50d	fix: prevent preg_replace null from truncating files to 0 bytes ... preg_replace returns null on error. Without a null check, the result was written to files as empty content, destroying all XML manifests during the release pipeline. Added null guards to all file_put_contents calls after preg_replace in version_set_platform.php, version_check.php, and version_bump.php. Jonathan Miller	a4009aff2f	fix(version): proper suffix handling across entire release pipeline ... Root cause: sed-based suffix injection in workflows caused cascading issues — stable releases got -dev in zip names, updates.xml had all channels pointing to -dev versions, version_bump preserved stale suffixes. Jonathan Miller	030f057ab4	fix: preserve version suffix (-dev, -rc, etc.) during patch bump ... version_bump.php now detects and preserves the existing suffix from manifest versions. The suffix should only change when the branch changes, not on every patch bump. version_read.php now returns the full version including suffix. Jonathan Miller	2ee5a55ec5	fix: preserve version suffix (-dev/-rc/etc) in version_bump.php ... version_bump.php was stripping stability suffixes (e.g. -dev, -rc) from Joomla extension manifest <version> tags during auto-bump. Now captures the suffix from the source version and re-applies it after incrementing. manifest.xml and README.md remain suffix-free (canonical bare version). Jonathan Miller	bc47944d8f	fix: version_read/bump handle suffixed versions and HTML-comment VERSION ... Two bugs caused release-candidate pre-release builds to fail after a development pre-release had been built: 1. XML regex only matched bare XX.YY.ZZ but not XX.YY.ZZ-dev/-rc etc. After a development pre-release wrote -dev suffix to manifests, the next pre-release could not read the version back. 2. README regex required VERSION: at line start (^\s*VERSION:) which does not match <!-- VERSION: 01.00.00 --> format used by some repos. Jonathan Miller	d9846b1c01	fix: version_bump/read check manifest XML, use higher version as base ... Previously version_bump.php only read from README.md VERSION header, ignoring the actual manifest XML version. When a version was manually bumped in the manifest (e.g. 02.03.00) but README still showed an older version (02.01.45), the CLI would bump from README's version instead, producing wrong release numbers. Now both tools check README.md AND Joomla manifest XML files (pkg_*.xml, src/*.xml, packages/*/*.xml) and use whichever version is higher as the base for bumping/reading.
